A British hair care company allegedly wants to cut ties with pop star sensation Katy Perry claiming that her popularity "ain't what it used to be."

Today's breaking news story by TMZ.com reports that, "Perry had a $4.5 million written contract to promote 'ghd' (stands for 'good hair day') products for two years staring in 2011. Her agent claims Katy's owed an additional $2 mil based on an oral agreement to extend her contract."

Jamella Group apparently did not want to extend Katy's contract because European market research had shown that Katy just wasn't a big enough interest anymore. TMZ reports that Katy's rep that they intend to sue the company and that the defamatory public statements about her were "shameful."

What do you think about GHD ditching Katy Perry?
